Oriental Garden & Patio Parasols – limitations and usage

An Indian garden parasol, if cared for properly, will last for many years without problems. These gorgeous Indian garden umbrellas are intended as occasional use sun umbrellas – please note that they are not waterproof.  Over time the colours may fade if used for long periods of time in strong sunlight. Use them for special occasions such as garden parties, weddings, family celebrations, etc.

You’ll notice that they have 10 panels and 10 ribs, which gives a slightly more rounded appearance than the conventional 8-ribbed umbrella. It also makes them slightly stronger in the wind. But, they are not guaranteed as windproof, Wind damage does not constitute a fault and will not be accepted as a reason for return.

You should make sure that your chosen Indian parasol is properly anchored by a good quality umbrella base. The neck of the base should be able to accept an umbrella shaft of at least 32mm and clamp tightly to prevent gusts of wind from lifting your parasol out of the base.
